THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC has an opening for a Senior Manager, Multimedia, responsible for all aspects of creative development, storytelling and management of our multimedia efforts. This is a global role with responsibility for leading our multimedia strategy and developing yearly objectives and budgets. Responsibilities also include development of discreet content as well as oversight/creative management of events. This individual will be a leader on the Corporate Communications team and work closely with our business and functional partners.

Key Functions

Develop concepts, write storyboards, manage and produce a variety of complex multimedia products.

Direct both in-house resources and creative agencies to create award-winning multimedia productions.

Develop and cultivate relationships with senior internal customers, subject-matter experts, and staff.

Consult with senior leaders and other internal customers to analyze their needs, provide recommendations, and develop appropriate deliverables.

Promote use of multimedia tools as a critical communication channel.

Provide equipment acquisition and business process recommendations to ensure efficient operations.

Required Skills:

Ability to work collaboratively and in a leadership capacity to conceptualize and produce high-caliber video productions and events.

Strong working knowledge of and hands-on experience with standard multimedia development tool suite (After Effects, Adobe Premier, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).

Strong working knowledge of production equipment in studio and on location (cameras, lighting, microphones, etc.)

A good sense of composition, type layout, animation, and 3D experience is a plus.

Working knowledge of a variety of web environments and standard social media channels.

Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications and familiarity with both Windows and Macintosh platforms.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with ability to initiate and foster collaborative relationships both internally and externally.

Very strong project management skills; proven ability to successfully plan and direct complex projects to achieve business goals.

Strong oral and written communications skills.

Ability to manage direct and indirect teams from multiple locations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and respond to changing schedules and priorities.

Detailed knowledge of industry trends and emerging technology.

Ability to take educated risks, try new ideas, and foster innovation.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications, Television Production, Mass Communications or related field. 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in television production environment. Portfolio of award-winning products.

Minimum Education/ Experience

BS and 8 years related experience

Travel Statement

*This position will require overnight travel up to 10 % of the time as well as some local travel.
