Job Description

DUTIES: Responsible for leading an agile scrum process for Scrum Teams delivering Analytical Instrumentation Group Business Intelligence and Analytical solutions.

Responsible for coaching/mentoring the existing team on scrum methodology and coordinating with the different scrum teams in Release Train and release management to ensure successful delivery of features in production.

Exhibit the behaviors of a Lean-Agile Leader with a Lean-Agile Mindset and lead the team to embrace SAFe Core Values, adopt and apply SAFe Principles, and implement SAFe practices.

Ensure the rules of an Agile Team are lightweight and the Scrum Master is responsible for reinforcing them. These include the rules of Scrum, Built-In Quality practices from Extreme Programming (XP), Work in Process (WIP) limits from Kanban, and any other processes the rules the team has agreed.

Promote SAFe quality practices by assisting the teams in constantly improving the quality of their deliverables and meeting the Definition of Done (DoD) and help foster the culture of technical discipline and craftsmanship.

Support the overall adoption of SAFe across the enterprise by coaching stakeholders and other non-agile teams on effective interactions with agile teams and participating in the Scrum Master Community of Practice.

Assist the team in effective preparation for ART activities, including PI Planning, System Demos, and the Inspect and Adapt.

Manage Agile KPIs such as: Product backlog, burn down chart, Sprint burn-up charts, Release burn down chart, Team velocity, and Quality Reports which measures teams Quality, Productivity, Predictability, and Innovation behaviors.

Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and coach them to higher levels of maturity.

Study evolving trends in agile best practices and development practices (Functional and Non-Functional) and come up with ideas to power the next generation of the product.

TRAVEL: Up to 20% travel required domestic and international. Telecommuting Employee: Reports to company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Can work remotely or telecommute.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience can be obtained, or related experience. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience can be obtained, or related experience as an equivalent alternative.

Must have knowledge or experience with:

Business intelligence;

Managing projects utilizing Business Intelligence and cloud technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, AWS, SQL server;

Driving implementation and reporting of Non-Functional Requirements (NFR, Performance, Cost);

Agile Scrum Certifications: SAFe, SSM, CSM, PMP, or ACP; and

Atlassian suite tool.
