Location/Division Specific Information

This position will be US REMOTE based and will support our Genetic Sciences Division (GSD Operations) business unit of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Discover Impactful Work:

The Demand Planner III (REMOTE) is responsible for developing and driving GSD demand plans that will enable the company to meet sales and service objectives. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, sales, marketing, and customer service teams to achieve these objectives.

A Day in the Life:

  • Closely work with commercial & finance team to understand the revenue target, responsible for demand forecast on all necessary time horizons.

  • Responsible for monitoring and continuously improving on forecast accuracy performance.

  • Lead and optimize the demand review process, actively involved in forecasting process, and responsible for alignment with commercial, finance & global BU teams.

  • Contribute to set initial forecast & replenishment flow and inventory setup for new products during product lifecycle change.

  • Work out inventory planning to support revenue achievement, including design and regular review replenish strategy, stocking policy & relevant parameters such as safety stock, lot size, MOQ etc. according to different business mode; monitor inventory and slow moving, take actions to improve inventory structure and reduce on E&O.

  • Prepare planning reports, provide insights through data analysis, and drive continuous improvement to improve planning excellence.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred.

Experience

  • Entry levelto 3 years of supply chain and/or planning required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Requires high proficiency in Excel.

  • Previous S&OP or demand planning preferred.

  • Working knowledge of SAP, JDE, Oracle Demantra, Agile, OCPLM preferred.
