Location/Division Specific Information

The Sr. Global Market Development for the Pharma Services group is a member of the Market Development team, responsible for leading and implementing the global go-to-market strategy and demand generation for large molecules. This role will be fully remote (working from home) based anywhere in North America.

The successful candidate will be a proven, results oriented teammate who will coordinate closely within and across market development, marketing operations, product management, sales, and business management to develop, lead, and implement marketing programs to drive demand, delight customers and achieve sales, marketing, and revenue goals.

This is a high visibility position to business leaders requiring executive presence and professional competence. A successful candidate should be able to motivate and influence without direct authority to achieve their goals and business targets.

What will you do?

  • Capture feedback from customers, regional counterparts, and field sales to identify market trends, opportunities and competitive challenges. Use this information to provide input to inform broader market development strategy and drive a sustainable competitive advantage as a strategic go-to-market partner.

  • Achieve financial and market goals for the designated portfolio.

  • Supervise and report on the efficiency of marketing performance and segments by reviewing data and analytics to make strategic recommendations.

  • Lead cross-functional teams as an individual contributor to develop tactical action plans that drive growth in key channels and/or customer segments.

  • Drive lead generation programs that result in sales and long-term customer engagement.

  • Develop and integrate portfolio marketing plans across other regional and group go-to-market programs through influence, motivation, and development of specific tactics to support portfolio goals.

Keys to Success

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business marketing or life sciences field

  • Preferred: MBA in marketing or business and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in a strategic/tactical marketing role and/or product management/marketing. Prior pharma services experience preferred.

  • A strong marketing performance history of successfully building customer value, sales and marketing strategies across direct, web, social and other digital channels.

  • A strong understanding of marketing functions, planning, strategy, and execution; pharma services markets, segments and competitors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of business argument development; the ability to interpret business problems and identify business needs out of data.

  • A proactive, collaborative ability to work on problems of routine to diverse scope; influence cross-functional peer groups and gain agreement of others to implement efficient solutions in a large matrix environment.

  • Ability to communicate go-to-market strategies, metrics, failures, success stories etc to improve overall marketing efficiency.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in North Carolina is $118,100.00–$180,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
