How will you make an impact?
Contribute improvement, ideas, and suggestions to help continue the success of the plant. Associates will operate, maintain & troubleshoot all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and/or correct mechanical & electrical breakdowns following strict product safety & quality standards. Associates must have the ability and initiative to lead and participate in plant problem-solving teams, the ability to apply problem-solving techniques, communicate effectively, demonstrate leadership and plan effectively. Interested individuals must be able to work in a fast paced, multifaceted environment and be able to communicate effectively.
What will you do?
Operate, maintain and troubleshoot all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and/or correct mechanical and electrical breakdowns following strict product safety and quality standards. Electrical/electronic troubleshooting in a manufacturing plant.
Install, maintain, repair and overhaul industrial, commercial boilers and heating skids and their component parts.
Maintenance work involving checking all parts of a system, replacing and inspecting boilers and other hydraulic components and piping.
When there is a malfunction, diagnose the problem and fix the unit by replacing or repairing controls, piping, pneumatics, electric wiring or other parts.
Startup systems, test fuel lines to detect leaks, and record the readings taken to ensure that the system is functioning satisfactorily.
Support high performance culture and continuous improvement programs through active participation in plant productivity programs.
Comply and actively participate in all safety and environmental policies, procedures and programs.
Perform area housekeeping duties. Perform all tasks as assigned by supervisor
How will you get here?
- Qualified applicants will have at least a high school diploma or GED
4 years of maintenance related experience , including on-the-job experience
Background in industrial, mechanical, and computer systems
Must be qualified to maintain boilers and hot water systems including chemical monitoring and feed water controls
Must be able to start up systems, test lines to detect leaks, and record the readings taken to ensure that the system is functioning satisfactorily.
Must be able to repair heating equipment, troubleshoot gas-fired equipment and calibrate all gas-related controls
Must have a working knowledge of electrical installation & construction, AC/DC motor drives, gearboxes, hydraulics & pneumatics systems
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of and capable of performing special technical skill (basic electrical troubleshooting, basic PLC skills, machining, welding tasks, high pressure gases).
Must be able to work from blueprints or verbal instructions to mount or place system components
Must have knowledge of or be willing and able to train in Maintenance Systems (SAP), computer skills, lubricants & lubricating systems, & new technologies in predictive maintenance
Must be able to move up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in all types of environments and all seasons associated with job
Must be able to work overtime requirements as needed.
Must be available for shift work & weekend work
