How will you make an impact?

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to develop and manufacture custom reagents in the qPCR product line. Candidate will participate in technical assessments and scheduling, prepare records and execute builds, as well as performing routine laboratory support tasks. The selected candidate will also work with extended R&D teams, providing support for various projects as needed.

What will you do?

  • Execute experiments to support custom reagents development and new product introduction

  • Prepare formulations, test using proprietary qPCR technology

  • Collect and analyze data using statistical methods including JMP and Excel

  • Participate in innovation, present in group meetings

How will you get here?

Education

BS/MS in the field in Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Chemistry, or a related field and a minimum of 1 year laboratory experience.

Experience

  • Technical and theoretical background in molecular biology is critical.

  • Must have hands on experience with standard biotech laboratory and work practices (pipetting, balances, centrifuge, etc), as well as possessing strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in qPCR, product development, manufacturing support and/or quality control is desirable.

  • The successful candidate will need to be able to work well within a team setting, while executing independently, as well as show initiative in experimental planning and addressing issues proactively.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work.

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills, procedures and approaches.

  • Ability to effectively document procedures, processes, and results.

  • Familiar with basic calculation/statistics skills.

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written English)

  • Able to recognize potential problems that require solutions to be found at a higher level

  • Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel. Statistics: JMP desirable
