The Position
An outstanding chance to join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Sofia as an IT Manager.
Key responsibilities include, but are not exclusively:
Working in compliance with legislation and policies
Lead and develop a team of site support technicians, providing mentorship.
Develop strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the site support team.
Ensure timely resolution of IT incidents, service requests, and problems reported by end-users.
Act as a blocking issue point and interface between Business & IT.
Work together with other IT teams and collaborators to ensure smooth integration and support of IT systems.
Support large enterprise projects and initiatives.
Monitor support metrics and recognize opportunities for growth.
Develop a customer-centric culture within the team.
Manage vendor relationships and contracts for site support services.
Provide assistance with colleague onboarding and offboarding.
Participate in audits and business continuity planning.
Embody and promote the 4i values of integrity, intensity, involvement, and innovation, serving as a role model to the team.
Continuously improve processes using PPI methodology to find opportunities for improvements.
Develop and maintain IT support documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles.
Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing between Site Support, Group IT, and Service Desk.
Participate in the Daily Tier structure.
Requirements:
Excellent proficiency in Bulgarian language and good English language skills.
Master or Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
Proven experience in leading an IT site support team.
Deep technical knowledge and solving skills.
Excellent leadership and people management abilities.
Understanding of IT service management processes.
Good communication and social skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Understanding of Information Security principles
