Commercial Finance plays a pivotal role in PPD by partnering with departments across the entire organization to help our clients take control of their study finances. Our team offers end-to-end commercial lifecycle management, from a request for proposal to contract modification, to study close. The team also provides profitability analysis, centralized operational bidding and a wide variety of client outsourcing services.

Then we have an opportunity for you - join our team of global professionals as a Commercial Finance Specialist.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensures requests are completed efficiently within expected delivery timelines securing consistency and bid quality

  • Applies standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained

  • Communicates directly and regularly with requestors to seek additional information when missing or to seek further clarifications when needed to complete tasks most effectively

  • Effectively communicates any issues related to requests or data with requestor and/or manager with possible solutions to ensure quick resolution

  • Enters accurate information into the proposal and contract tracking database so that timely and accurate reports can be generated

  • Applies quality control procedures to ensure proposal budgets conform to departmental standards.

Experience

  • Former experience in business focused roles preferably in a multinational environment will be considered an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software

  • Excel literacy (e.g. pivot tables/charts, formulas, etc.)

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

  • Detailed-oriented personality, analytical thinking, problem-solving attitude and multi-tasking skills

  • The ability to analyze financial and budget information from diverse sources and understand the impact of key budget drivers, inflation, billing rates, exchange rates and discounts will also be an advantage.
