Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for an HR Business Partner to join our HR Excellence team in Singapore. As an HR Business Partner, you will be instrumental in driving organizational success by delivering top-notch HR support and collaborating with business leaders to implement effective HR strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the workforce management initiatives to ensure we are able to resource strategic growth initiatives in the region taking a zero based budgeting approach.

  • Design, create and implement Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the region including driving participation and engagement with the Business Resource Groups in partnership with the corporate DE&I platform and agenda.

  • Lead and participate in multiple strategic projects for the region, particular areas of focus for 2024-25 will be to:Develop strategies to address First Year turnover across APJ region.

  • Accelerate effective onboarding for new leaders (B9+) in the region to set them up for success.

  • Work with the business leadership teams and the Talent Management team, to develop a framework for Sales training in APJ to enable consistent and equitable sales training opportunities of our sales force.

  • Participate in ongoing project to clarify the interlock model between the country commercial and regional commercial leadership to enable flawless collaboration for growth.

  • Work with the APLA task force and Total Rewards team, representing APJ to develop a framework for competitive and effective Sales Incentive plans in APJ.

  • Apply tenets of PPI by conceptualizing and driving projects to address key people challenges in the region with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Support with development of the HR team by owning the HR Community of Practice agenda for the year.

  • Employee Engagement initiatives for EIS action planning at an APJ level.

  • Develop an early career strategy for the region in partnership with the CoE’s.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. A Masters/MBA in a related field preferred

Strong HR Data Analytics background

Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role

Extensive HR functional knowledge and global experience in various HR functions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience with process improvement methods such as Practical Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.

Strong organizational agility with international expertise and experience in highly matrixed, US-headquartered global multinationals.

Ability to navigate ambiguity and make tough calls when needed.

Experience with restructuring and transformation projects and processes in prior role
