Opportunity:
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our world-class team in China. As a Project Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead and successfully implement projects in a dynamic and ambitious environment.
Responsibilities:
Accurately estimate project and task resource requirements.
Define and control project definition and scope.
Maintain and manage project timesheets, expense reports and status reports in accordance with company’s guidelines.
Effectively manage the revenue activity of the project team members and invoicing to clients.
Interact effectively with client project management and technical personnel.
Oversee project related activities such as software validation.
Effectively manage project assignments and schedules in concert with the other project managers and services leaders.
Successfully manage all financial aspects of projects. Avoid cost overruns. Produce timely & accurate project summaries.
Provide recommendations into planning, resource allocation, management, tracking, and reporting of projects.
Facilitate internal and customer meetings effectively and deliver engaging, informative presentations.
Travel, as needed, for internal and customer meetings.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master's degree in IT, IS, Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management in life and laboratory sciences software.
Demonstrated success in enterprise software professional services, particularly large scale and/or global, software, implementation projects, both time and materials, and fixed-fee milestone-based, in nature.Proven experience in project management, preferably in a similar role
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects
Proficiency in project management software and tools
