What will you do?
In this business critical role, we are seeking a Director, Global Chromatography Data Systems to drive Enterprise CDS (eCDS) business globally within our growing Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division. Chromeleon is a premier Chromatography Data System (CDS) which controls over 400 different LC, IC, GC, and MS instruments and accessories from more than 30 manufacturers, with full bi-directional communication, extensive command options, and detailed event tracking. Chromeleon CDS provides instrument control, data analysis, reporting and compliance-readiness, and this position will focus on enterprise projects for our Chromeleon Chromatography Data System.
What does it take?
Lead and grow global sales and sales support organizations for Chromatography Data Systems
Implement a scalable approach for both sales and sales support of Chromeleon Enterprise (eCDS) in collaboration across global CMD commercial teams and business units
Drive complex eCDS projects and provide expert consultancy to regional teams
Partner with commercial and business unit leaders to develop our CMD growth strategy of Samples to Knowledge.
Develop organization capabilities and strategies to evolve and expand to ensure we accelerate our software position in the industry.
Partner with global training and business unit to develop and provide training and coaching to the global CMD commercial team to encourage development of the regional eCDS business.
Works closely with the Chromatography field sales and Regional Sales Support groups to encourage hardware sales in Chromeleon enterprise environments.
Responsive to customers’ needs, as well as to conditions and trends that affect them.
Drafts technical bidding proposal for process instrument applications and coordination of process system integration.
Serves as a channel of information to the division about customers, markets and competition especially in process instrumentation.
How will you get there?
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent required.
7+ years of experience selling or supporting enterprise software and/or capital equipment in the pharma/bio-pharma market preferred
Previous sales management experience preferred
Extensive experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing process and implementation of process instrumentation and process control.
Strategic account management within the scope of the specific tailored systems market.
Accurate forecasting ability.
Essential skills and knowledge:
In-depth understanding of the professional selling process.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal and listening skills
Chromeleon or software expertise
Skill of preparing bidding proposals for process instrument applications.
Broad business scope and experience.
Understanding of the sale and implementation of enterprise software solutions
Experience with Windows network preferred
Knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle databases s preferred
Willingness to travel globally (up to 50%)
