How will you make an impact?

The Product Manager, Recombinant Antibodies position assumes responsibility for developing and implementing strategies to grow the recombinant antibody portfolio, with specific focus on our recombinant antibodies development and expansion. Working in cross functional teams with operations, R&D and commercial, this position will guide the your success with these critical product lines, leading all aspects of product development; focusing on key product requirements and supporting market analysis, planning, and commercial strategy. In addition, this role will partner with the Primary and Secondary antibody product managers to drive awareness and continued strength for the Invitrogen Antibody portfolio. Key success metrics of this position are financial growth, portfolio profitability, customer allegiance scores, new product introductions and improvement in brand position for the overall antibody portfolio. The position requires significant thought leadership, strategic organizational change skills, and the ability to influence across a wide variety of functions / roles.

What you will do:

  • Drive development and execution of a successful recombinant product introduction program

  • Develop, implement and care for new and/or existing products in a portfolio by crafting and implementing product marketing plans, leading New Product Introduction (NPI) teams, and providing data related to competitors, the market, product positioning, revenue and unit forecasting and pricing strategies.

  • Guide new product directions: work across functions to develop business opportunities for financial growth and cost optimization and use voice of customer research.

  • Develop long-term recombinant product roadmap that drives scientific advancement and workflow simplification.

  • Support product planning in conjunction with manufacturing and planning teams to deliver optimal service levels for products; analyze profitability and key financial indicators.

  • Develop and lead strategic scientific relationships for product partnerships. Lead cross-functional teams with R&D, operations, commercial groups and external partners to implement programs.

  • Engage with commercial teams and customers to highlight benefits and opportunities of the recombinant antibody product lines

  • Develop and engage KOLs and partners as they arise to cultivate the product line

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Scientific subject area required.

  • Master’s degree in Life Science, Marketing, or Business (MBA) preferred.

  • Ph.D., or M.B.A. strongly preferred.

Additional Experience Critical to Succes:

  • 3 + years in a product management, R&D, Commercial Sales and Support or Operations Leadership role required.

  • Antibody development experience strongly preferred

  • Experience developing strategy and successfully driving operational related goals around Product Management required.

  • Experience in marketing in a scientific environment will offer additional success in this role

  • Ability to Travel up to 25% - 40%.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $113,500.00–$152,000.00.
