Senior Site Specialist at Customer Site

Location: Dundalk

How will you make an impact?

As Senior Site Specialist, you will work on behalf of Thermo Fisher Scientific on our customer site. Your work is existing out of material handling, shipping/receiving, glassware washing, and administrative duties related to the Customer Needs.

In addition, as a real logistician, you will be encouraged to engage in small projects, process evaluations and process improvements related to supply chain and customer service. As representative from Thermo Fisher Scientific, it’s expected that you build a positive relationship with our customer.

What will you do?

• Make on-site program replenishments and disbursements. Performs stockroom duties to include: receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements.

• Oder Management: Order entry, order expediting, customer service support, etc.

• Chemical Management Receive, register and tracking of chemical containers, etc.

• Glass wash Operations: Pick up of glassware from the labs and replace with clean glassware, glass wash sterilization processes, inspection of glassware, etc.

• Follows well defined Best Practices, SOP’s & work instructions.

• Prepare for Customer Meetings

• Embraces Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies, seeking improvements to customer processes and internal processes

• Support new customer additions & storerooms

• Always represents Thermo Fisher Scientific throughout customer locations, professionally and positively.

How will you get here?

Education

• Secondary School Leaving Certificate.

• Experience working in a warehouse or inventory role is essential.

• Experience with Microsoft Office would be beneficial.

• Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus to deliver excellent customer service including maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

• Operating skills to use handheld scanners and learn to enter data in various systems are vital

Experience

• Demonstrated verbal, written and presentation skills.

• Ability to work with people from, different cultures and backgrounds.

• Friendly, self-motivated & customer minded.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Read, write and speak English fluently.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service

• Ability to enter data into various computer systems, as necessary

• Proficient multi-tasking and time management skills

• Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific.

• Possess strong communication skills and customer focus to deliver excellent customer service including maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

• work independently at customer location.

• Extensive walking may be required.

• May pass through areas where chemical based allergens may be in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc)

• Must be able to lift, push and pull 15-20 kg’s consistently; may be required to lift 20 kgs.

• Some areas require steel toe shoes, bump hats and/or safety glasses

• Ability to work beyond the normal business hours and overtime as required.
