Position Summary:

As the Manager, Sales Operations, you will be responsible for driving perfect execution of our sales processes and enabling our sales teams to contend effectively in the market. You will lead a team of supervisors and specialists, ensuring alignment across the organization and successful implementation of our sales strategies.

Your responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end RFP/tenders management process, driving efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Lead a team of EU RFP Supervisors, leads, and tender specialists, providing guidance and project management support.

  • Partner with sales teams to enhance win rates and effectively handle selling time, capitalizing on your exceptional communication and influencing capabilities.

  • Prioritize resources within your team and drive cross-functional collaboration to remove bottlenecks and streamline processes.

  • Find opportunities to automate and streamline processes. Work with IT, PPI, and across functions to drive improvements.

Leadership responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and guidance to the RFP team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Develop team performance through regular reviews and ensure compliance with company procedures and policies.

  • Develop a deep understanding of Thermo Fisher Scientific's sales positioning and products in the market.

  • Establish a robust network within the organization to apply our strengths and develop success.

  • Review and maintain compliance with key performance indicators and stay updated on industry trends.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Strong commercial operations background with experience implementing complex customer contracts.

  • Consistent record to build collaborative relationships with senior/key customers across European markets.

  • Equivalent experience or a degree level education with a strong relevance to our business.

  • Clear understanding of the RFP management role and experience in project management.

  • Fluent in English, additional language skills are a plus.

  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.

  • Exceptional time management, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Proficiency in collaborating efficiently in a dynamic work setting involving various parties.
