The Strategic Proposals Development team supporting Thermo Fisher Scientific's Evidera business is currently expanding and looking to hire:
Scientific Proposal Manager (HEOR)
Summary : The Scientific Proposal Manager will prepares bespoke, compelling proposals in alignment with company commercial strategy and client needs. They will prepare and review text, graphics and data that describe value-added differentiators, creating deliverables that accurately and consistently position the organization’s services, products, and expertise as the optimal choice for project award.
This position requires experience writing Scientific Proposals and strong knowledge in HEOR.
Essential Job Functions
Applies advanced knowledge of commercial and clinical research process to create and manage proposal deliverables from initiation to delivery, across text, slides, and spreadsheet formats. Understands, recommends, and incorporates latest and focused evidence in the proposal showcasing capability and experience.
Works with key scientific, operational, and commercial stakeholders to collect information for proposals, including leading calls to discuss proposal needs.
Reviews client requirements, analyzes and interprets appropriate data and technical information from contributors to tailor proposal to client needs and associated budget.
Contributes to ongoing submission of library content as needed.
Conducts quality control checks for own work and peers.
As needed, participates in departmental initiatives critical to the success of the Strategic Proposal Development team.
Stays abreast of company’s differentiated solutions and offerings to work across service areas and optimize proposals.
Knowledge and Skill Expectations:
Understands the proposal, drug development and commercialization process.
Effective project manager with strong attention to detail that can consistently deliver quality, on-time proposals while balancing multiple projects/priorities.
Strong writer and editor with ability to develop compelling visuals (for both text and slide deliverables).
Creative, critical and strategic thinker to proficiently translate and distill complex technical information into proposals that are easily understood and well-received by clients.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills to adapt to rapid pace of proposal development.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with and develop positive long-term relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Scope and Complexity:
Primarily focused on one business unit/practice area, with ability to work in other areas as needed with support.
Supports a mix of proposal types and complexities.
Creates de novo, bespoke proposal deliverables that convey commercially compelling and persuasive story for customers, with minimal use of templates.
Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience in HEOR
4-6+ years' relevant experience in at least two of the following:
Clinical research industry role with writing responsibilities
Proposals in a life sciences or technical field
Experience in a commercial setting
Scientific writing Experience
