Thermo Fisher Scientific Digital Experience Project Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina

Position Summary:

The Digital Experience Project Manager will provide strategic leadership to achieve an aspirational vision for a customer's fishersci.com experience, leveraging existing functionality and advocating for continuous improvement and future enhancements as needed. This role will translate customer and segment insights into a comprehensive strategic plan that optimizes segmentation, navigation, personalization, product category elevation and grouping, content, creative input, with a focus on life sciences. This role will report to Director, Strategic Marketing. The role is responsible for driving a comprehensive project plan, working effectively with key stakeholders and setting Key Performance Indicators to track success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leveraging customer and segment insights, work closely with internal stakeholders to communicate and create the idealized end-state vision, outline requirements and build a project plan to better serve our biotech community.

  • Lead the development of the budgets needed to achieve milestones and the end-state vision. Assist with building the business case for the investment and any enhancements needed.

  • Assess and recommend approach in combination with e-Business teams, content architecture team, portfolio management and digital marketing teams and make recommendations and execute plans on how to improve the web experience to better serve our biotech customers.

  • Work with digital and marketing insights teams to recognize user patterns and trends to formulate effective digital and site optimization strategies.

  • Continually research, stay up to date and identify best-practices through a thorough VOC/VOS effort in addition to on-going research of the competitive landscape to continuously raise the bar on our site experience.

  • Work closely with digital marketing team, Sales, Product Management, Market Segment Managers and eBusiness to build and maintain a best-in-class web site experience across our portfolio of products..

  • Serve as a strategic subject matter expert

  • In partnership with product management, content architecture team and eBusiness colleagues, prioritize content improvements to keep the product/service specifications and additional information up to date.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, or related area and 5+ years Marketing experience focused on developing business to business customer marketing and experience leading complex projects.

  • Understanding of the Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical Business or Life Sciences Environment.

  • Demonstrated experience working on cross-functional teams that develop leading edge strategies and implement them through an organization.

  • 3-5 years' relevant experience in a detail-oriented role, preferably within a website/digital marketing function.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Understanding of channel relationships/distribution business model highly desired

  • Ability to function in a complex, matrix business environment is essential

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience presenting to senior executives is helpful

  • Ability to develop strategic recommendations based on both quantitative and qualitative inputs with strong understanding of financial drivers

  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Experience with business analytics tools such as PowerBI is preferred. Exposure to project management software (WorkFront/JIRA), Process flow (Visio), CRM software (SalesForce) and business development practices is helpful.

  • Current knowledge of digital marketing channels and best practices is preferred

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in, marketing, or related area and 5+ years Marketing experience specifically focused on developing business to business customer communications and marketing campaigns.

  • Understanding of the Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical Business or Life Sciences segment

  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
