Job Description

The role is targeted at preparing both GBS and the retained organization regarding training needs and delivery of required training. The Training Specialist will develop a role-specific Learning Needs Analysis, training curriculum, training schedule, and supporting documentation to show training status. This often involves managing these activities across a series of waves across multiple divisions and functions.

The Training Specialist plays an important role in ensuring the GBS organization stands up smoothly with minimal impact on the business and promoting a positive, sustained culture in line with the vision of GBS leadership. This position will be key in ensuring onboarding, system, process, and soft skills training are delivered to colleagues to enable successful transition and expansion of services to GBS shared service centers accordingly.

The scope of the role is that of both transitioning new activities/processes into GBS and ongoing training of colleagues within our GBS centers. This includes functional and role-specific learning needs analysis, training curriculum, training scheduling, and delivery, across multiple sites, functions, and projects/programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technical and business SMEs to identify and document training needs for transitioning roles.

  • Develop and implement training schedules, ensuring timely delivery of all training content.

  • Create clear documentation of learning needs, training curriculum, schedule, and status.

  • Follow up with trainees to ensure training plans remain on track.

  • Coordinate existing training resources for learning needs analysis and delivery.

  • Lead training satisfaction and post-training assessment surveys.

  • Support training content creation and delivery as needed.

  • Provide training support for shared service center improvement projects.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in delivering learning needs analysis and training programs.

  • A passion for learning and development.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written), other languages a plus.

  • Training delivery experience is a plus.

  • GBS or shared services experience is a plus.
