DevOps Cloud Systems Engineer III

Roles & Responsibilities:

This position will work within the DE (Digital Engineering) group to develop, host, and implement E-Business initiatives and technical projects. Candidate will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of E­Commerce systems, search and browse system and services that support the company’s E­Commerce business initiatives. Work independently or be part of a team that builds and integrates interactive web sites, applications, and services for both internal and external customers. Must have an in­depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to communicate project status, issues, and resolutions. The job offers a challenging career to work with enthusiastic team members on systems that interface with E-Commerce, Search Engines, Middleware, ERPs and applications on the Cloud.

Job Functions:

Work closely with development managers, architects, business analysts to architect design, develop, unit test, debug and maintain web applications based on functional requirements and scope of work.

Contribute and conform to adopted software development standards. Focus on quality and continuous improvement to technology and process.

Participate in production deployment and provide assistance to production support group as needed.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in design and development eBusiness applications using Java technologies.

  • Monitor and test application performance for potential problems, identify possible solutions and work with the teams to implement any fixes.

  • Develop and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency, automate deployments and infrastructure set-ups.

  • Experience with Cloud technologies is a plus, AWS / Azure

  • Participate in production deployments and provide assistance to production support groups.

  • Perform installation, upgrade, configuration, deployment and administration of various environments.

  • Plan and manage deployment of releases across Development, Test, QA, Stage and Production environments.

  • Design and deploy solutions by partnering with Information Security team to assess vulnerability scans and maintain compliance of websites to security standards like PCI.

  • Must have good Java expertise, must know best practices and be up to date on the latest Java specifications and frameworks.

  • Experience designing solutions using Java, in­depth working knowledge of various design patterns and best practices is needed.

  • Be a hands­on expert in Spring, JMS, JSP, Struts, RDBMS (Oracle or SQL Server) and No SQL DB; strong proficiency in ANT, Comergent or equivalent E­Commerce framework, Tomcat, XML, RESTful and Unix.

  • Must have experience leading and mentoring junior team members.

  • Be performance driven, self starter and work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Should be an excellent team player with strong verbal & written communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.

  • Be highly motivated to research, adopt new technologies, challenges and work in an agile environment.

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of diverse environments and components.

  • Hands on work experience with Hybris, CQ5 and Endeca search engine would be a plus.

  • Experience in integrating E­Commerce application with Informatica, Siebel, JD Edwards and SAP through SOA middleware would be nice to have.

  • Regular day to day job responsibilities does not involve travel

Academic Qualification :

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
