About the Opportunity
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our Instrument and Enterprise Services (IES) team as a Product Lifecycle Specialist. In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to establish a product lifecycle governance model across our dynamic supply chain for our service organization. You will develop and lead cross-functional projects aimed at reducing Direct Materials Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and driving down Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory across all nodes of the network. Responsibilities
Establish and maintain a product lifecycle governance model, ensuring flawless execution and adherence to established processes
Lead cross-functional/cross-divisional teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, resulting in a reduction in Direct Materials COGS
Collaborate effectively with various teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
Develop and implement successful strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the product lifecycle.
Collaborate with various departments, including Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance, to determine the root causes of excess inventory and develop strategies to address them
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline product lifecycle operations
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to track progress and identify areas for improvement
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in management, Operations, Supply Chain, or other related degree as well as 3+ years in project management supporting operational groups with preference in comparable industries to Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc.
Proven experience in product lifecycle management or related field
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
Exceptional project management skills with a track record of successfully implementing cross-functional initiatives
Strong motivation to compete and achieve results
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels across a diverse set of roles
Strict attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues proactively
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
