Division Overview:

Thermo Fisher Scientific Electron Microscopy Solutions is seeking an accomplished and energetic Sr. Content Delivery Architect to design, run, and report on digital marketing activities. The role will report to the Digital Content Manager. Our objective is to increase the speed, frequency, and efficacy of our digital marketing programs in order to shorten time-to-business objectives for product groups, business development, and sales.

How will you make an impact?

With the support of divisional marketing leadership, this individual will provide guidance and leadership to the digital content team, support funnel acceleration efforts, develop lead nurturing campaigns, design and implement omni-channel campaigns and drive innovation initiatives. This role will also be responsible for coordinating with internal & external resources to drive in-bound & out-bound marketing efforts, and develop reporting for these efforts.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with our marketing automation system, Eloqua. They will understand content marketing funnel strategy, have CRM experience, and exhibit strong leadership skills.

This includes experience building complex automation and scoring programs, developing a strong segmentation strategy, implementing lead scoring models, consulting with business partners on customer journey, and helping develop comprehensive campaign reports. We will also consider applicants with a more traditional marketing program background and will provide comprehensive training on the platform in order to ensure their success.

What will you do?

  • Develop, deploy and track comprehensive online campaigns that meet agreed goals associated with each campaign.

  • Advise marketing and business leaders on best use of online tools to drive traffic to our products and increasing lead generation KPIs.

  • Manage and digital marketing activities including-but not limited to-the use of e-mail management programs and forms for those activities.

  • Educate and support junior team members on digital content tactics.

  • Manage vendor relationships.

  • Interface with the marketing, sales and IT functions for lead management linkages and infrastructure requirements associated with audience segmentation and reporting.

  • Stay current on marketing trends, strategy and tools.

  • Run strategic activities for a defined set of outbound marketing programs and associated campaigns that may target existing install base, competitive replacement opportunities, or adjacent/vertical markets via trade show events, webinars, content offers/promotion, PPC, social or 3rd party marketing channels.

  • Set, manage, and track strategic measurable objectives, and campaign timelines. Work in coordination with internal stakeholders and the marketing teams to ensure campaigns achieve their stated goals, on time and on budget.

  • Use HTML and WYSIWYG editors to build emails and landing pages based on established templates. Update existing template and create new ones when required.

  • Develop quality assurance (QA) process for digital assets and campaigns.

  • Other marketing duties as may be needed to meet business needs.

  • Liaise/interface with other departments and sibling business groups to ensure our team's successful completion of critical business objectives.

  • Travel to other company locations, training events, conferences and/or trade shows to represent Thermo Fisher Scientific, as needed. Total travel not to exceed 5-10%.

How will you get there?

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field.

  • 5+ years of professional marketing experience and operational familiarity with current-generation marketing automation platforms.

  • Preferred: Leadership experience, well versed in CRM systems and their integrated functionality with marketing platforms.

Miscellaneous Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to work in a team environment and interface effectively with cross-functional teams in a global, multi-divisional, multi-cultural environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to accept responsibility for personal performance (both wins and losses) and learn from professional lessons.

  • Proven project management skills all the way through reporting and evaluation. Comfort in working on multiple complex projects simultaneously. Effective use of time-management for planning, organizing, and scheduling multiple programs for timely completion.

  • Proficiently use computer software programs, including Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel and PowerPoint). Experience working with data visualization tools like Tableau is a plus.

  • Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to clearly define problems, collect relevant and trustworthy data, establish facts, and draw value-based conclusions. Self-starter and ability to prioritize, organize and complete tasks independently.
