Job Description

Discover Impactful Work:

You will serve as the leader of assembly manufacturing, including the development and execution of all assembly production and boxing to support the highest quality product for customers with timely delivery. You are the operations leader responsible for maintaining ISO and USDA compliance within the assembly function and for operating within project and department budgets.

A Day in the Life:

  • Coordinate operations by leading day-to-day assembly manufacturing activities, including capacity planning and budget management.

  • Train, mentor, and coordinate operations team members to meet or exceed departmental standards and key performance indicators providing manufacturing mentorship and support throughout the organization.

  • Establish and improve operational goals and metric, including STRAP, AOP, and HRR, and review outcomes in Quarterly Business Reviews.

  • Seek the highest level of compliance and efficiency of specified manufacturing practices serving as the primary assembly manufacturing contact for regulatory inspections and/or client audits.

  • Innovate process improvements applying PPI, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies and work proactively with the team and internal customers to implement opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Meet production, quality, financial, staffing, and EHS goals and objectives, including but not limited to productivity, cost reduction, backorder, inventory, training, CAPA closure rates, etc.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, biological sciences, chemistry, engineering, or related field required. Master's Degree preferred

Experience

  • Proven experience (10+ Years) in a lean manufacturing operations environment with increasing responsibility including significant leadership obligation. Biological and/or pharmaceutical industry specific experience preferred.

  • One or more of business, Six Sigma, supply chain, and project management degrees or certifications, e.g. MBA, CSSBB, CPIM, and PMP, is highly preferred.

  • Consistent record in driving continuous improvement.

  • Effective leadership skills to guide large teams including people leaders.

  • Requires social skills and the ability to lead and work cross functionally with teams.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and lead through sophisticated processes/projects including new product introductions.

  • Ability to effectively present information to employees, top management, and public groups.

  • Expert ability to use software and customized programs to meet business needs.
