Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Cold Room/Freezers -22degrees, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials
Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Media Prep Technician/Thermal Processor. Responsibilities:
Accurately measure dry and liquid components
Coordinate processing speed according to the daily production schedule
Follow all written procedures and report any discrepancies to the Area Supervisor
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
Perform all work activities in a safe and organized manner
Listen to, follow, and relay written and verbal instructions in English
Continuously monitor product for defects
Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Actively engage in making suggestions for process improvement
Encourage an atmosphere of collaboration
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
0-1 year of experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment
Familiarity with aseptic technique
Experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs
Effective communication in English, both verbal and written
Basic math skills
