How will you make an impact?
You will be developing automated semiconductor process equipment that delivers wafer-to-atomic information, enabling our customers to make timely decisions.
What will you do?
Develop control software for enabling customers to automate their scanning electron microscope process workflows in a FAB environment.
Serve as a technical leader in designing a framework for automation of our instruments.
Collaborate across time zones with engineering leaders. Flexible with work hours.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle from inception to completion including requirements analysis, specification, design, implementation, and testing.
Add and improve existing code to meet requirements for flexibility, new features, and maintainability.
Support customers by reviewing specifications and providing on-site integration and validation.
Mentor junior developers so that they can improve their engineering and professional skills.
How will you get here?
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
Experience , Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
10+ years experience as a software engineer; strong C++, C# skills
5+ years of experience with writing SW for controlling hardware
Up-to-date knowledge and in-depth understanding of C++, experience with Object Oriented Design, State Modeling, and Test Driven Development is preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE and experience with .NET
Solid proficiency in software-engineering practices such as requirements, design, agile processes, unit-testing
Ability to quickly come up to speed by understanding new problem domains, originating sound designs, and implementing well-structured code
Excellent analytical and empirical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
- experience with equipment manufacturing, electron microscopy or semiconductor
