Location/Division Specific Information

Greenville, SC – API Manufacturing

How will you make an impact?

Investigates, creates, and validates new scientific methodologies used to control raw materials, production intermediates, and final products on a complex scope of projects. May be involved in pre-clinical, clinical, and/or post-marketing stages of drug development.

What will you do?

• Provides analytical support for process development.

• Performs analytical method development /validation for raw materials, in-process materials, intermediates and final API.

• Write technical documents including laboratory notebooks, development reports, validation protocols/ reports and SOP.

• Coordinates development of methods and processes that meet or exceed the expectations from clients and provide innovation as necessary.

• Leads projects without supervision; may lead multiple projects, including managing project timelines and deliverables. Guides and advises during implementation of new methodologies and processes.

• Performs all duties in strict compliance with SOP, GMP, GLP and Safety guidelines.

How will you get here?

Education

• BS – Chemistry or a closely related science. Advanced degree in Analytical Chemistry preferred.

Experience

• BS: 8+ years in a related technical field. Master's degree: typically requires 2+ years of related experience or PhD: typically requires 1+ years of related experience.

• Experience working in Pharmaceutical Industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong proficiency in the operation of HPLC, GC, etc.

• Hand on skills on wet chemical analytical techniques.

• Familiar with chromatography data software (Empower, Chemstation, etc.)

• Strong Knowledge on FDA/ ICH guidelines and USP/EP compendial methods.

• Skilled Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

• Effective written, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including managing technical discussions with internal and external clients.

• Strong ability to demonstrate problem-solving and analytical abilities.
