Location/Division Specific Information

Florence, SC

Hours: 8am - 4:45pm

Summary: Responsible for executing and maintaining key documentation functions within Thermo Fisher Scientific Quality Systems. Assist Quality Assurance Supervisor and Quality Assurance Specialists with maintaining the Quality System procedures and records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Maintains quality management system associated documentation and all records required to manage the development, production, and distribution of the products manufactured at our facility.

  • Issue and reconcile laboratory notebooks, manufacturing batch records, executable protocols, etc.

  • Control and execute the filling and storage of executed project documentation for R&D, non-GMP, and cGMP projects.

  • Manage the on-site and off-site (Iron Mountain) storage of all quality assurance related documents from all departments.

  • Participate in the execution and/or administration of corporate Quality System tools such as TrackWise, Documentum, EDMS, etc.

  • Provide direct support to archival and retrieval of documentation and/or drawings to and from approved storage areas.

  • Assists in client and regulatory audits by fulfilling and logging documentation requests.

  • Assist in writing and revising site SOPs or other procedures as required.

  • Maintain a state of inspection readiness.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 year of relevant experience.

  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and controlled databases is a plus.
