Job Description
We have an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious Engineer/Scientist II, QC to join our world-class team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. As a leading company in the field of Engineering, we are dedicated to enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Responsibilities:
Determine quality control (QC) methods and procedures
Successfully implement QC processes and systems
Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure flawless execution of QC activities
Perform data analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements
Conduct investigations to identify and resolve quality issues
Support regulatory inspections and audits
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field
5+ years of proven experience in QC (or equivalent) within a laboratory role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to strictly adhere to procedures
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong laboratory skills with an understanding of molecular biology techniques, optical spectroscopy methods and instrumentation including absorbance and fluorescence
