Location/Division Specific Information

You will be a part of the Life Science Business Unit (LSBU) within Material and Structure Analysis Division (MSD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific. The LSBU provides high-value Electron Microscopy workflow solutions for high resolution biological imaging, ranging from atomic resolution imaging of protein complexes to volume acquisition of cellular compartment structures.

Discover Impactful Work:

You will lead and drive product marketing for Structural Physiology. This segment aims to attract cell biologists with a portfolio ranging from large volme analysis to the powerful context of cryo electron tomography on whole cells and tissues.

A day in the Life:

  • You will own the definition and scope of new products, their market and performance.

  • Build a strong roadmap, based on a market-focused strategy, deep understanding of product life cycles, and with a broad business insight.

  • Responsible for outbound marketing content. The go to market strategy SEM and volume EM.

  • Working closely with other members of the team to produce engaging content, strong web presence and convincing proof points.

Keys to Success:

Education

A university degree is required in a relevant area, and a PhD/MBA or other advanced degree is helpful. or a combination of education and experience that demonstrate the required skills.

Experience

Proven track record in high-tech product management environment. Understanding of electron microscopy and its applications. Ability to interact with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Customer oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills (proficient in English). A keen curiosity about commercial, marketing and business aspects.

  • Ability to build a vision for a product, translate it into strategy and implement a roadmap.

  • Experience operating electron microscopes would be beneficial but not crucial.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Ability to travel internationally (up to 30%), and in possession of a valid passport. Residence close to one our factories in Eindhoven (Netherlands) or Brno (Czech Republic) would be advantageous.
