The Chemical Analysis business provides a broad mix of analytical instruments and services to a diverse range of end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Life Sciences, Medical, Energy, and Minerals and Mining. Location: Louisana – Remote

How you will make an impact:

As a Field Service Engineer III, you will deliver onsite support and build service excellence over and above our customer expectations. This role provides the opportunity to grow within Field Services and across the Thermo Fisher organization. We’re looking for curious learners, passionate problem-solvers, and trusted teammates. What you will do:

  • Own and deliver service commitments and complete installations, calibrations, preventative maintenance, training and/or repairs.

  • Responsible for providing services remote or at site within the agreed conditions; setting accurate priorities.

  • Service reporting, documentation, and creation of protocols to specification on internal and customer needs.

  • Represents our company in a positive, professional manner in all encounters with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both externally and internally.

  • Maintain high level of customer allegiance by building strong customer relationships and promoting on excellent customer experience.

  • Partner with our commercial colleagues to deliver customer deals that can be implemented profitably and meet/exceed customer expectations.

  • Responsible for optimization and accuracy of the provided tools and consignment stock.

  • Drive continuous improvement using our Practical Process Improvement Business System.

  • Travel up to 75%.

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED.

  • Degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, military, and/or work experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 – 2 years Mass Spectrometry (or equivalent) and Field Service experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • SalesForce experience is preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication both written and oral

  • Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues in difficult and stressful situations.

  • Customer friendliness and a professional demeanor

  • Creative with your approach to troubleshoot/repair, design evaluation and problem-solve.

  • PC literacy including MS Office and Outlook.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Louisiana is $42.49–$54.63.
