Overall Purpose

  • Manages the current shop floor scheduling system. Using data generated from SAP, develops manufacturing and/or packaging schedules that maximize plant efficiency and high client service levels.

  • Responsible for balancing both Commercial and Development systemic planning requirements. When conflicts arise, collaborates with department leaders to determine priorities.

  • Maintains master data, calendars, and other data elements.

  • Co-leads daily 7:30am value stream meeting

  • Coordinates the daily running of the SAP interface program and trouble-shoots any errors that occur as a result of that interface.

  • Collaborates with Planners for required SAP changes to routings or pegging issues as they are found in Taylor.

Key Job Challenges:

  • Balancing needs of both Commercial & PDS while maximizing available equipment and labor resources in manufacturing and packaging.

  • Resolving conflicts identified through scheduling process.

Must haves:

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Business, Materials Management, or Supply Chain.

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years Production Planning, Scheduling & Inventory Management experience preferred

  • 3 to 5 years experience in Manufacturing of pharmaceuticals or similar products

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement

  • Excellent Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables and workbook development

  • Must have abilities to resolve conflict while maintaining strong relationships

  • Must be a strong self-starter, action oriented and a team player
