How will you make an impact?
The Associate Technical Sales Specialist – Flow Cytometry will represent the Life Sciences Solutions Flow Cytometry reagent portfolio to drive revenue growth and achieve sales quota targets in the assigned region. The primary focus will be on key academic accounts in the territory. This field sales-based position requires an advanced level of technical aptitude in the area of flow cytometry and will be covering a portfolio of products that fit into flow cytometry workflows.
What will you do?
Manage the sales processes at assigned account in accordance with approved sales and marketing plans
Demonstrate product features, benefits, and applications along with selling and business-building skills to successfully promote and consummate the sale of products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan
Serve as a driver of business development at assigned major customer call points to penetrate and grow current and new business
Call on all organizational levels and functional areas, using Strategic Selling techniques within assigned account which influence purchasing decisions. Assist in writing and executing a business plan for managing assigned territory annually, updated quarterly. Develop presentations and customer proposals with assistance from Technical Sales Specialists, Biosciences Account Managers, and/or Marketing
Set Up, Coordinate and host seminars delivered by internal stakeholders such as colleagues from Research & Development, Marketing and/or Technical Sales Specialist either at customers sites or in local regions on a routine basis
Set up and assist with product shows and technology events in the assigned accounts
Identify opportunities and generate leads for adjacent products to the Flow Cytometry reagent workflow for other Technical Sales Specialists and Biosciences Account Managers
Consistently exhibit excellent oral and written communication of successes, failures, and best practices to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region, and sales organization as it relates to the Flow Cytometry business
How will you get here?
Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field; or the equivalent combination of knowledge and experience
Advanced degree or several years of lab experience in the area of Immunology or ImmunoOncology preferred
2+ years of hands-on flow cytometry experience
Experience building multi-color immunophenotyping panels for flow cytometry
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong communication, organizational and prioritization skills
Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
