As the Team Leader, you will lead and motivating your team, demonstrating role model leadership. Your focus will be on warehouse outbound, Inventory control, including but not limited to shipping, inventory discrepancy investigation and reconciliation, whilst working in conjunction with other teams and departments around the business to ensure customer experience is delivered. In this role you will support the warehouse operation in the Carlsbad Distribution.

Summary of duties

Lead teams within the designated area to achieve all departmental and business targets.

Lead and develop your teams, through routine reviews.

Communicate and engage with the team and warehouse leadership through daily management board meetings, ensuring awareness of business activities and understand and address operational challenges that arise.

Work well with your peers and Supervisor/Manager, as required, to ensure good working relations, Seeking help and support when required.

Integrate with other internal suppliers and customers to understand, maintain and improve the supply chain to our customers. Investigate supplier and customer complaints, reviews quality issues for common themes and shares them with the operational teams to drive improved customer experience.

Ensure all employees are conducting themselves in a safe and appropriate manner. Investigate, report, and act on any unsafe working practices.

Apply lean principles and tools, seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and performance promoting and supporting the PPI system within your team - projects, KAIZEN, just do it’s (JDI’s) and 5S.

Lead Outbound control tasks, including but not limited to, shipping, quality, audits and ad hoc stock checks.

Ensure that the team accurately follow to company and departmental policy.

Maintain and support the development of working procedures, risk assessments, safe working practices and good housekeeping, carrying out safety Gemba’s and SOOS reporting

Be flexible and able to adapt to varying priorities throughout the day supporting the mobility of resource including self, when required.

Identify training and development requirements, establish, and maintain training programmed for all staff in the team, ensuring individual records are kept up to date.

Recognize the contribution of others, giving praise and award, in line with company policy.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED Required

  • 2+ yrs of experience leading a team/people management

  • Good collaboration and interpersonal skills - the ability to lead, engage and support others.

  • Previous warehouse experience and basic knowledge of warehouse management systems.

  • Experience of supervising /overseeing the work of others

  • Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, TEAMS, and Outlook

  • Forklift truck license is helpful but not essential.

  • Knowledge of chemical storage and packing regulations would be an advantage.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $26.97–$40.46.
