How will you make an impact?
Demonstrates the best practices of Program Management leading New-Product Introduction (NPI) programs
Drives development of strategy & annual plan for the R&D portfolio of a Strategic Business Segment (SBS)
What will you do?
Leads critical SBS NPI programs from initiation through commercial launch, with the goal of not only delivering products of high quality and value to the organization, but also of delivering them within agreed-upon schedule, resources, budget and scope.
Acts as program champion and head of a cross-functional team; develops bottoms-up plans and proactively manages program risks, in order to successfully deliver all program deliverables. Solves problems and manages crises effectively and independently. Acts as information conduit between core team and leadership; prepares and presents program reviews to PAC as core team leader.
Mentors others leading programs in the SBS, providing them with high-level SBS context & guidance.
Provides feedback to drive NPI process improvements. Sponsors change initiatives & builds best practices regarding program management & product development in the SBS.
Partners with SBS product management, R&D, marketing & finance leadership to develop the SBS strategy & annual plan, with respect to R&D utilization.
Leads regular review of NPI portfolio with SBS leadership team, drives prioritization and reports on status & revenue of all SBS NPI programs.
Represents Portfolio & Program Management on SBS NPI steering committee, also known as the Product Approval Committee (PAC).
How will you get here?
Bachelor's degree preferred in the Life Sciences from four-year college or university
7 or more years and/or combined product development & project management experience, of which a portion must be in the life sciences.
