Summary of Internship
The Service Sales Internship position provides an opportunity for Business/Biological Sciences students to get hands on experience working with sales reps in a fast-paced selling environment. The service sales intern will contribute by researching contact information at Biotechnology companies that are suitable to purchasing our service agreements. This is a paid full time summer internship in Carlsbad, CA. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.
The sales intern will be responsible for directly supporting Sales Hunters by doing the following:
Learning how to find customer contact information in E1
Using a list of instruments that do not have customer contact information, to start researching those accounts.
Enter the contact information into SAP.
Direct her/his efforts at specific product lines as identified by the sales hunters.
Target of $100K in incremental contract revenue.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve
Exceptional customer focus
Willing to engage with customers and up-sell service contracts our bench top instruments.
Student currently enrolled in classes leading to a ABET accredited degree in a Business or Biological Sciences discipline
Knowledge of ERP systems a bonus.
