How will you make an impact?

This dynamic individual will be responsible for tactical execution of critical go-to market programs that drive growth in our division within specific customer segments or research areas, by integrating products and capabilities from across the Division in a customer centric way. Collaboration will be key, as the Market Development Specialist III will need to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment, across multiple marketing, sales, and operations functions, influencing cross-functional teams to achieve results. The ideal candidate should also have a track record of operational excellence, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple parallel projects, collaborate effectively, and complete projects independently.

Location: Onsite at Carlsbad, CA

What will you do?

  • Develop and complete tactical marketing plans for target customer segments that incorporate products across BID and other divisions

  • Use analytical tools and revenue reporting data to make data-based marketing decisions to meet or exceed financial and marketing performance objectives

  • Manage external content placement workstreams and execution of 3rd party events

  • Assist in developing product and application workflows and accompanying content to demonstrate end-to-end solutions for specific research applications and support buyer journeys

  • Communicate with and influence key partners to collaborate on all programs

  • Assist in team operations: Maintaining budget, helping organize larger collaborator meetings, deploying internal communications and running functional meetings

  • Provide regularly oral and written communication of marketing program performance, including metrics, takeaways, standard processes, etc. to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Experience:

  • 5+ years work experience in a related field

  • 2+ total years of tactical marketing experience.

  • Experience in life sciences, biotech or related field a bonus.

  • Experience in working within an agile framework would be advantageous

  • Tactical marketing experience in both print & digital channels. Development of email, digital banners and print materials

  • Collaborates easily and effectively with an ability to influence without direct authority

  • Exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, strong time management skills and deadline driven; marketing operations experience a bonus

  • Knowledge of the following key marketing competencies: 4Ps and marketing mix, marketing communication, segmentation, value proposition and marketing program development

  • Strong customer focus through prioritizing our customers needs, drivers and putting these at the forefront of business decisions

  • Fast, self-starter learner, with ability to work in a dynamic team adapting quickly to a changing environment

  • Understanding of key digital media channels and how they influence customer behavior

  • Must have an enthusiastic attitude, open to mentorship, and show innovation by piloting new approaches, harnessing key takeaways

  • Strong business sense, accountable, phenomenal teammate

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,300.00–$115,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
