Introduction

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and self-motivated individual to test innovative mass spectrometry software products. Daily Activities

Participate in all phases of the product development from product definition to final release

Work closely with multiple teams to ensure successful integration of platform and product S/W packages across a variety of environments and topologies

Coordinate and perform end-to-end testing of Chromatography and LC-MS software solutions

Act as the quality gatekeeper for large scale S/W programs involving multiple integrated components delivered from globally distributed development teams

Communicate project status and issues to other functional teams, collaborators and management

Facilitate in the removal of roadblocks as they arise to ensure team efficiency

Generate clear documentation for project documents and status reports

Write and complete test cases for integration, compatibility, and solution

Participate in project planning and progress tracking

Contribute to the timely delivery of the CMD software projects within budget.

How will you get here?

BS, MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics/Chemistry or related field

Strong experience in Automation testing, with main focus on automation

Experience working with test automation frameworks and tools like Test Complete

Skilled in writing test cases, analyzing requirements, debugging, test coverage.

Strong working experience with any of the scripting languages like Jscript, VB Script, C#, etc

1+ years of laboratory experience using Thermo or competitor software or equivalent experience testing scientific software or experience with Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry applications.

  • Shown technical\scientific knowledge in Life Sciences using Mass Spectrometry or similar techniques

  • Familiarity with entire software development process, particularly in an Agile environment

  • Proven experience in using test management tools

  • Experience with defect tracking systems

  • Demonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement

Preferred:

Familiarity with Quality System Regulation and FDA expectations for software and hardware validation is a plus

Desired:

Extensive experience with automated and other testing tools

Ability to write automation scripts

Project Management experience
